Find My Ultra
I recently shipped my personal project to the App Store and am rolling out additional features soon. My goal was to improve the map tools available for locating ultramarathon races by targeting iOS 17 and leaning into the latest Apple frameworks.
Motivation
- Help ultrarunners discover new races without jumping between spreadsheets and forum posts.
- Offer a clean, minimal UI that feels at home on iOS.
- Make offline scouting easier with cached map tiles and saved searches.
Tech stack
- SwiftUI for rapid iteration and smooth transitions.
- MapKit with modern map styles and annotations tailored for trail courses.
- SwiftData to sync saved races and preferences across devices.
Features and roadmap
- Filtering by distance, region, and elevation profile so athletes can quickly narrow options.
- Quick-glance course cards with timing cutoff highlights and links to official race sites.
- Upcoming: shareable race lists, watch complications for race-day reminders, and richer offline map layers.
